In North Carolina I heard of a cyclist who got killed by a suicide squirrel. It jumped into the front brake disk, locking up the wheel, and the guy went over the handlebars and landed badly.
"People are stupid ... almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule

..... but at least the roadkill there is delicious ...... SPman's bike got taken out by a suicidal roo 3kms from home - fit for nothing but dogfood

[the roo, not the bike ........]

my cow Vs bike resulted in the cow and the bike stopping very quickly. I however, being a man of commitment tried to make it the rest of the way to work by flying. Went striaght over the top of everything and had to trust my gear to do its job which it did.

Nearly all men can stand adversity and hard time, but if you want to test a mans true character, give him power....

On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!
