please god some one help me...
my 90 fzr250r aint charging its died on me a few times while riding.
im not that great with electrics - i can shock myself but not fix anything.
iv checkd charge rate which it aint. the magnetic peice behind the YAMAHA case on the RH side has filings in it. and its not running centre... it wobbles..
im losing my friggin sanity tryna figure it out with little help from the workshops iv visited....

go to wreckers and get a new stator by the sounds of it. Might wanna just send it to the shop and get them to sort it tho.. wouldnt be too expensive.

The instructions are simple...
Could be beyond hope (and repair). If it 'wobbles' then either the centre that slots onto the end of the crank is flogged out, or the crank is somehow bentOriginally Posted by tacos
It (may) have filings in the casing because the flywheel is scraping on something due to it moving other than in a perfect rotation.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

STOP RIDING IT......
Probably flyhweel has come lose, or key has become undone/stuffed.......
If flywheel can't be bolted on in its proper position (keyway!) to the crankshaft you have some issues......
Either just flywheel...
Or flywheel and stator....
Or Crank shaft itself......
Ouch.....
