I have just heard our fire siren go off yet again, it is just on dark. These poor buggers got their first call this morning just after day break, and have been called out I dont know how many times today. Worst of all, I doubt this will be the last call they get today. I am certain most places up in the north can say the same of their volunteer fire service today.
What an amazing bunch of people they are!
My thanks to them, and the families that support them.

Nah, too old now but I do remember stormy nights being busy and scary, just paying my respects to the younger generation of Fire bobbies. I wouldn't wanna be out there, I got a quilt and a hot toddy.

They have had yet another call out since I posted this up. I was about to say they should be safe to go home for hot showers/food now as it has settled here. Friggen should know better, the rain has just started PELTING DOWN again...LOL
