He has gone out to work today, his job is on a road that runs between Woodcocks and Kaipara Flats. I dont think he is going to get there somehow, expect he will be home anytime soon

Heavy rain up here with not a lot of wind overnight. It is not raining now and I can even see a patch of blue sky. Wonder if that will last?

Don't forget to "Slip slop slap" then.

Just back from doin the morning milking for a neighbour. Needed a wetsuit here. Why do the cows pick the shittiest weather to calf. Seven of them dropped and do they look miserable. All standing tho. Glad I'm not a dairy farmer.

According to Stuff I think people should be careful of aquaplaning if they are heading south from Whitianga...

Sounds like quite a weather you have up there. Kinda envious - here it's just the same old boring seeping drizzle as usual
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

I got through....like the pony express I am!!.....
The main flooding was over the other side of the Ahuroa Hill, I was turning off just before the railway crossing (you know where that is aye?) but I still had to go through three lots of flooding. One I even stoped cos I couldn't tell how the road went. Could only see about a 6 inch ridge of road in the middle, so I watched four other cars drive through and away I went.

Well I am a bit surprised tonight by the really stormy weather we are experiencing. We got off really lightly over the weekend during the weather bomb, even though the pressures got seriously low here, we did not get the really bad weather. It was not wonderful, but not as bad as right now...

At the moment we have the worst stormy weather we have had in this whole episode, apparently the front is off us now...LOL

At least it is not cold, and our candles (scented) are already lit

Good luck folks, this is not over yet.

    Levin

sure copped it today .. Been awake since about 2am however from about 7 it got real rough, had to call the fire dept on the way back from my horses this morn due to trees & power lines on fire .. that was quite spectacular, Lost power just after 7am & work finally let us go home about 11.30am. we lost part of our roof (along with quite a few other buildings in town)

the whole of town was closed apart from dick smith, & power has finally been restored at 8.30pm ..

parts of the area look like a tornado has been through it so clean up will be more than a few days by the looks

been fairly settled for the last two hours but must have been in the eye cause she is cutting up rough again so dunno how long the power situation will be on for
Have to Karma ... Justice catches up eventually !!
