    Why Heck E

Can anyone here recommend any motel(s) on Waiheke?
Mrs What?, myself and a couple of friends are planning to go there for a weekend after the dirt magnets are back at school, but none of us has ever been there before.
Any clues on good places to stay, or avoid for that matter, appreciated.

It's nine years since I lived on Waiheke,I bet most of the old places are gone - I know the old Onetangi Hotel has gone,so has McGinty's,Ostend Motel may still be going, but Chris with the Hailwood replica doesn't own it anymore,Kiwi House was good, the owner had a Triumph,I had my own cabin at Palm Beach Lodge where I worked on FA50s...ah,the good old days...when Waiheke was a low socio economic society where we lived in run down baches, ramshackle owner built houses or cheap Initial homes,we struggled to survive with atleast 2 jobs, who you knew was important and where you waved at everyone!
