    I sold a Starlane gear indicator not too long ago if you're looking for a ready made device.

    That starlane one looks the bizo, but my mechanical speedo model isnt listed

    Had a look through the Jaycar online catalogue of all their kits... Couldnt spot anything obvious

    Here you are sir.
    It comes with a hall sensor that I assume is used to get the speed from the wheel. It'll dim at night as well.

    how much? is this suitable for most bikes??

    I called into Jaycar today and.... KC5344 Gear Indicator Kit ~ $90 is a discontinued kit.
    Man said their computer recons there are 8 in Wellington and is going to see if he can get one transferred up here
