So what's the reasoning behind the elaborate run in procedure? Given that bikes are dyno'd before leaving the factory why avoid something that has already been done? With bearings running on an oil wedge not metal on metal the only bedding process of note is the piston rings. Given that your average bike these days is designed to pull over 10,000 revs per minute (in many cases much more) wouldn't any bedding process happens in minutes not hours?

Yep, ha ha another bloody Kwaka - my 2nd one! Dunno why, the last 10 was such a blinder I'm eager for more of the same but an updated package.
