    So, mac heads

    Just back from Sid-en-ey.

Air NZ. Pleasant enough to make me retract previously published comments about the inflights. Nice meals and people.

Westward ho and there was a lame chic flic on a projection screen so pumped up the jam on the iPod.

They can call me fan boi all they like. I loaded the gadget up with a few movies and a dozen TV shows that I grabbed off You Tube and pumped it up all the way over and back. Return was on a 777 with the trick entertainment console. shunned that too for my programming podwise. Neat gadget.

Appache Down game killed an hour too.

So natulissimo I checked the much hyped George Street Ap-p-ple Store.

$5 Million it cost. Most of it would be in glass. The amount of people in it was impressive. The queues of pople were quite staggering. The training was very popular and had long queues as well.

Unless there are significant savings it would be the last place I would go to buy anything. A crowded caffeteria with $2000+ price tags. You had to wait to look at the racks of iPod accessories. It's for iNoobs and scoping.

And then it was just a normal mac shop X 10.

    Other notes:

There are now 4 service providers of iPhone 3g in the market and the promotion of the phone is a complete and utter saturation. Everywhere. Every kiosk every third shop window (almost): iPhone here.

    It isn't a shop. It's a temple.

Yeah - I see how it works.

To be able to see the entire range was very good. Co-pilot will probably get a Macbook Air next upgrade on the strength of the play she had with it at the store.

But we'd buy it from our local retailer.

Just got back from Seeedneee last night after a week there celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary. Real nice place and we had a ball. Mrs B also had a real ball with the plastic plundering the fashion shops. I would have been keen to linger in the Apple store too but with a new Penske shock on order, that would have been pushing it
