    Scooters make good Jet Skis

I can confirm that the LML makes a good jet ski, as long as you maintain a speed of at least 62kph before hitting the surface flooding, and the distance to traverse is no more than 15m.

It probably doesn't help if there is a nose-to-tail in the next lane just before you hit the water, but it makes a nice distraction.

All part of the daily commute I suppose....

I don't think it's very smart to go 62 km/h through a puddle... imagine the water it would kick up!

    hah

thanks to the weather and my wife, we have discovered that ford falcons are not submersible.......

however a z200 liberally smeared with grease around the sparky bits is:
water up to the petrol cap when going to the rescue with a can of crc and a new airfilter

nope, a LOT of water in the engine bay, lol, she said the bow wave went right over the windscreen, thought for a sec she was completley under. just doused the electrics and the airfilter (MPI so mounted down low). managed to get a few cylanders firing enough to get it home.
all going again now, the neighbours thought I was nuts, pulling the car apart in the carport in a "hurricane"

the z got water in the carbie though, just unclipped the bowl and dumped it. away I go

All of this makes me very glad I live within a 5min radius of everything I need: food, petrol, shopping...

    ... School not so much.

    Fix

    Rainy
    Days

its dead calm here now, rain stopped, water subsiding. it was a close thing.

I'm a drainlayer for a construction company here, we have ties to the council, so get called on for labour in times of need. (man the pumps) so consiquently I have shifted a shitload of water over the last 48 hours.

also everyones septic tank seems to be flooded so I smell $$$$$$$$$$$

I kinda like wild weather, everyone else goes home when it rains (like 5 times a year) I just get my raincoat on.....mmmmm mud
