Just want a comfortable cruise on Sunday, with some like minded people.
If you are referring to a KB ride as "another boy racer type ride", then I think you have the wrong perception of what an average KB ride is like. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion and I respect yours' but is it based on experience or just rumors?

Looks like there will be plenty of people cruising around. Feel free to poke people with a stick if they're going to fast.

have experianced a KB ride from the AB Papakura and by the time we got to Puke we were left behind and thats the idea behind this ride people at our pace learners and novices as well as experiance to guide some of us from trainer wheels to R1's and have fun around what we all enjoy doin and thats 2 wheels of freedom

So what if someone has a big bike or is a faster rider. Yes we go fast on KB rides, yes we have competitiveness when riders with similar skill level are riding together. However when it comes to public safety, we do not act like idiots like most boyracers do. We do not drag race each other in the middle of the town or do donuts in the middle of the street etc etc.

All I meant with that post was comparing us to boyracers is wrong in so many ways and it is almost offensive.

I think it is fair enough to not interfere with Sparky's well organised plan for a Sunday cruise. As for the n00b training idea that I was sujesting, that'll have to be the next Sunday.

I have put up a new thread about it:

I certainly did not mean to offend anyone by my post, and if I have done so I apologise.
I have however been on KB rides before and in my opinion there is definately a "hoon" element involved in some of them.
I have no problem with anyone riding as they feel that they want to. I however am still newish to riding and like to take things at a slower pace......it's probably an age thing.......if I was a 20 year old boy, with a different bike, I would probably feel differently.
I know to avoid those particular rides that I think may not be my cup of tea.
As this ride was listed as a novice cruise I thought that it would fit the bill.
All I was saying was that if the type of ride was going to change, let me know, cause I wont join you as I know that I wont enjoy myself.
I am always keen and eager to get advice from more experienced riders and if anyone at any stage on a ride can give me some advice to improve how I ride then it would be gratefully accepted.
Apologies again if anyone was offended!

You get used to seeing who's going to come on the ride and you can tell from there usually. Even though there may be a TS or MR appearance, the majority of people are noobs on 250's, so I dont think you've got anything to worry about on this ride. Besides, you wont be last in the group, Yokai's coming

That was my point. I knew that this would be one of the slower ones, and that I would have a good time....as I have had on other KB rides.

The reference to Yokai's riding was a little unfair.....although probably true

    Looking for to Sunday!

OK, let's put aside the misunderstandings.

I understand that you did not intend to cause offence with that post. However if we go into depth of why we dislike being associated with boyracers, I am sure you will come to understand where I coming from as well. But we'll just leave at that for now.

Definetly fair enough!! Though, I am sure from what I have heard of Velox's riding, you do not need to be a boy. A girl can ride pleanty hard and fast.

That is absolutly fair enough as well! I won't be attending this ride as it is not my cup of tea quite frankly. I was only going to come to help others. However I came to the conclusion that it is in everyone's best interest to organising a seperate event for helping out n00b riders.
