So I do hope that he made it to work riding with one hand....lol
I definitely positively was not there. It must have been my doppleganger
being as I'm under strict doctors orders not to use that arm for anything strenuous.
My doppleganger said to tell you lot it was good to meet ya all. Sorry he couldn't join ya but he'd been riding since 6.30am and had to head off to work.

Yeah, I'm really sorry about the lack of communication. Next time we maybe need to spread the mobile no's around a bit more.

I've had a quick look at the bike. Needs: a new mirror and mirror pole/stand? Possibly a bit more difficult than it appears at first glance, just 'cos it broke off near to the clutch/base, and a new front left indicator bulb and cover.

Also, the steering has been bent back into shape, mostly. But I want to get it checked in case it has the potential to develop into something serious.

Apart from that it seems to be all cosmetic.

_You_ might not have noticed until Kaiaua, but the "Most Observant KBer" was aware of this fact since Clevedon. We left there long after you did, and left Mike waiting there just in case.... There were mutterings about him going home anyway, don't know where they came from :S

Well today's ride was great. I met up with everyone at Clevedon after deciding at the last minute to come along for a "short" blat. Good to see so many people turn up, and especially so many 250s and newer riders. Well done guys for organising the ride - I bet you didn't expect so many people. This created a little bit of a logistical problem, but on the whole I think the ride went pretty well.
Neck was pretty good for most of the ride - there were a few nasty bumps I went over that caused me to wince, but all in all pretty good.
By the time we all got back to Papakura I wasn't quite ready for the ride to end - so I took on a kid in a go kart while everyone was fart arsing around trying to decide whether they were going home or going for a bit more of a blat. Does anyone have pics of that?
So then TS, Dveus, Zapf, Justsomeguy and myself headed to Bombay Autobahn where we caught up with SPman, Bestfun and their friend. After a beverage and long natter, TS, Dveus, Zapf and myself headed out to Tuakau, then a short blat down 22, turned round and then out to Port Waikato (nice ride to PW, btw) before heading home. So good to be back on my bike after 6 weeks. I'm also soooooooooo ready for a bigger bike. Thanks everyone. I had a blast today.

    Slower cruises

Seems to be a demand for slower, less hectic rides, judging by todays turnout.

    So whens the next one?

    Smile WOW what a turnout

What a great day for a ride!!! I loved seeing that many people turn up this morning. Thank you all for coming and supporting us newbies.
The only problem is that now I am jalous, all those beutifull bike
I hope everybody had a good day I know I did. Sorry to hear about the little mishap el dopa but good to hear it worked out OK. Thanks to those who took it upon themself to stop at the intersections and guide us along the way and the advise we picked up along the way. If that what KB rides are about I want more of them And yes I did get a photo of that gokart race, good bit of fun to end the day.
Jaybee and I went home for a coffee after that, I see some people didn't quite have enough and continued riding. Maybe I should join a longer ride next time because when I came home the house was empty (wife and kids gone to the Movies) so back on the bike for another ride and a visit.
Anyway here are some pics I took (59 in total), thank you all for a great day
    Untill next time
