We don't fancy fighting the rush hour traffic to get there.
Doesn't have to be 5 star, but clean and good value.
Failing that, does someone in the area want to put up with the three of us for one night?

Also looking for somewhere to have farewell dinner and drinks. Again, not 5 star (we are fast running out of money) but good food at a reasonable price.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
What rush hour......it took me just 45 minutes from my house to Airport at 8.30 the other day.......

    What day you off?

This a the pub within walking distance from Ventura Inn. There's also a Hell Pizza next door to the pub.

Is this the one that they use to call the flying jug years ago.

These folk hain't from around these parts, old bean. Forty five minutes in a car only ever happens on the way from Napier to Wellington, etc.

45 minutes means nothing to us...we still measure things in kms.
Although I understand that 45 minutes in Auckland may just be to the next street over...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Mm, actual distance becomes meaningless in certain traffic conditions. The trip from the North Shore to the airport is about 30km, but can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 3 hours, depending.

Yep, that much I know. Hence wanting somewhere real close to the big silver bird's nesting place.

Mate Im doing the same thing but wanting er 5 star --for that one night anyhoo. -One thing I found out is that MOST of em do free airport transfers --so you dont have to worry about paying for parking at the airport.
