That sort of thing happens in just about any street in West Auckland. Mine is particularly good because they can complete circuits with left hand turns only. Even the little diversions in the middle of the road don't slow them down.

Well I went past late this arvo.... and I did spot a brand new green letterbox.... it does look 100% better than the one I saw earlier - that one was kinda hanging on the post leaning against the fence...

Yes,the cat has put her own foot into the collar before,and cats can fit into very small places,they really squash up well! But this was past her shoulder bone,no way would she get that into the collar,plus it was on a different setting anyway.Just the lowlife pricks in this area - a couple of nights ago I was locking up the cars and going to shut the big gates and I saw a lazer dot on the car next to me,I thought it was an alarm led,but that car hasn't got one,I looked all around but couldn't see anyone,there are young people just wandering around all times of night and day.

The average boy-racers thought process goes something like this: It hasn't happened yet, ergo it is never going to happen.
In fact most teenagers have a similar philosophy hence the reason they sign up so readily when a war is in.

I was talking to the neighbour yesterday and gleaned some more info,at least she was laughing about it now,she was kinda upset when a car smashed into their house damaging 3 other cars.The cops reckon he was doing between 140 and 180kph,he was certainly moving along.The family were certainly aggressive and she said they pushed her son around when he tried to help....the big drama attack from the mother was a diversion - while she was doing that someone took a bag out of the car and ran away,Jason said there was no booze in the car,but he thought the driver was out of it on drugs not just shock.The reason the family didn't go with the boy to hospital was because the cops wouldn't let them - so the cops at least picked up that their was something more going on than just some boy racer losing control of his car.

I'm not happy about family members moving into a very serious accident scene with their own adgender,it's almost like the kid didn't matter,the most important thing was to cover their own arse.Some input from those in the emergency sevices - is this sort of thing common? It's a shock to me that something else other than some kid nearly losing his life was going on.

This is appalling Motu, I am glad we don't live in suburbia, I was talking to a friend last night who has a son who is best mates with the kid I sold my gn250 to.
A similar thing happened to him the other night, he was driving along in his mother's car minding his own business, and a drunken 15 year old with a long history with the police, slammed into their car at 140km/ph, the four occupants of this kids car were flown to hospital, one with critical injuries, the 15 yr old driver of the offending car was unhurt and did a runner, he was later apprehended. Apparently when the boy was hauled in by the cops, the father went down to the police station and asked the police to lock the boy up and throw away the key, he had reached the end of his tether obviously and didn't know what to do next.
Kids eh!, I really think no person under the age of twenty should be allowed to drive a car until they have had a scooter for a year,then a motorbike, and then be allowed to progress to a car, that way they would learn about road awareness, and life in general.

...Today we found the cat with a front leg trapped in her collar,Jason said it was not possible for her to do it herself,someone has done it to her....

Our dog has got her front paw stuck in her collar before when she was trying to get out the cat door, so I'd guess it would be possibly for the same thing to happen to a cat trying to get through a smaller hole or something, especially seeing as they're generally more flexible and stuff.

i'm gonna sound like a real old fart here, but i have a problem with b/r's. Not just them, kids these days in general i guess. There have to be similarities with the way they are now compared to the way they are when i was a little'n. They think they're invincible. They think there's nothing left to learn, from anybody. Same as i was.

Except these days, they also seem to exhibit less concern for anybody around them. They dont seem to know right and wrong for christs sake. And now - they have the tools to cause A grade shit, in the blink of an eye.

Has to start at home right? I'm positive there are good parents on here who instill as much as possible of what they've taken years to learn, into their kids. But take the parents of the young bloke in this thread. WTF?

I'm sure making more laws is only a temporary stop gap. This guy will get the wet bus ticket treatment and move right along. Whereas if he could genuinely be tought what he did could have easily taken lives, and have that message sink in, yeah right....... between the testosterone, the waste of oxygen parents and the fuck-you attitude the chance ANY message has of sinking in would be NIL.
