    Questions for the wise ones

A few questions for the knowledgeable ones please.

    1. when I rep someone, how do I insert smileys?

    2. In simple terms please, how do I stick a large pic in a post? All I can do are thumbnails.

3.What's the quickest way from a profile page to a forum, say RnR?

I know, I'm a puta retard, good when shown how but finding my own way generally ends in disaster.

    And finally

    4. Am I actually seeing a bespectacled Dangerous Bastard every thread I look at or do I need therapy.

    Thanx oh wise ones.
    Oh bugger

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

you have to type it in, ie, is : lol: (without space between : and l). Once you learn what format is used for each one, you usually don't bother trying to find it, and simply type it, as it is faster.

not easy... you have to use code, something like (remove brackets) (<)img src="http:websiteblah blah.com/image.jpg(>) should work, however, there are size limits around 800x600 pixels (or less).

Top left of any page, Kiwibiker forums, then select forum. Or use tabbed browsing

If its a pic from the net just right click the pic, then left click properties at the bottom, then right click on the location and select all, then right click again and copy, then its back to kb and click on the lil symbol with the pic of a mountain that says insert image, a box will come up with hhtp in it, delete the hhtp, then right click and paste !
That should fuck ya up for a while !
Not 100% sure how to put a big pic off my pc up yet but thats how i put ones off the nett up lol

ok, here is an embedded pic (thats the term)

and the exact code used to do the above is:

    Code:
    img src="http://www.motorcycledaily.com/032503side1.jpg"
(I have to modify the input (ie, chuck it in code tags) so that the software reads it differently. Also, if I wanted to centre the image, I would chuck in additional tags around the code above, so that it told vbulletin to do further things.

You're starting to regret this, aren't you?

edit: damn vbulletin, it will even read stuff inside code tags... not too surprising I guess, its just reading what was written. Anyway... martybabe, take the code section, put a < in front, and a > at the end

To embed an image on your PC you will first need to upload it. Google "Image Hosting", there's plenty to choose from.

ah, I see, its back on, I could have sworn spank turned it off at some stage, so I used another method, which is much more difficult to explain. Martybabe, if you haven't run off laughing and now stark raving mad, follow sinfull's advice.

Re pics from the net, it depends whether the person running the site allows this, specific term is hotlinking. Some people do not like it, and block it.

I use photobucket for image hosting... there are many options

Go find a pic on the web ! Right click on the pic !
A list comes up and at the bottom of the list is properties , open that
A page comes up all about the pic , about the middle of the page is the location !~

find that and practice your copying of all the location !
once ya have that sussed the putting it up in here is easy

Just a word of advice, if you quote a post with an image as you did here delete the code so the image doesn't come up again. There's mods just waiting with their fingers hovering above the infraction button just for this.
