Thanks for the clarification Scrivvy. Found the web site and will keep an eye on it. Don't really like the idea of been tied in with potentially "Superbike" machines with maybe untrained pilots on top. Could lead to a bit of carnage similar to waht we see in some other track days.

Best of luck with the endurance, we WILL be there for the 2 days prior and depending upon the format for the track day maybe the day after. If we don't ride I may (said carefully) be able to lend a hand running things (flags, pit lane etc).

Pending some good news in a couple of weeks.

Thanks to those who have expressed concern at the decision, rest assured, if I'm not up to racing, I certainly wont be.

Just wondering how the race crash situation will work with the 3 hour setup?

If ambulance needs to go onto the track, will race be stopped? Or a safety car/(bike) lead a slow procession of bikes around (like Bathurst)?

I think this will be fine.

Also if crashed bikes need to be picked up it should be quick enough use a ute with a ramp (xr8 etc) with the two guys weil it up the ramp, slap a handlebar bra onto it and go?

    Worth some planning

yes racey rider we have a pace car that everyone will follow if we have to send ambulance out, not sure about crashed bikes at this stage, but i think if you cant get it back to pits on your own then it stays out there, otherwise the race could keep on being interupted. just dont crash

Has anything been sorted for the small bikes yet or are we just another forgotten class on the day?

Perhaps as stated in the original post for the endurance race....
"(If your bike has a 600 sticker on the side of it, then it is a 600, and will race in the over 600 class )"

I'll just put 600cc stickers on the bike (and maybe scare a few of 'em with the corner speed too!)
Awwww, c'mon fella, they specifically design a track for bikes with less than triple digit horsepower and you are upset? Oh I see, you want to actually ride on it? You can't have your cake and eat it too.......

So what's a TZ250 doing in there? Ok technically it can race in F2 but so can a 400 (it's been done before). Just what rules are being applied here?

Oh by the way I'm all for eating the cake too!
