The're FOG lights not F%#@ing driving lights

Most people that have fitted A/M fog lights to their cage have them wired up to their fog light switch... however as they use them all the time to look 'cool' they do not usually realize that they have rear fog lights also...

I have driving lights fitted to my cage, and spent a long time making sure they only come on when I use high beam... 150w of light is enough to turn a dark country road into daylight.

Slightly O/T, but a few days ago I had a new one (for me)...

A car with one sides indicator/brake lights lens replaced by a clear one - but the bulbs were ordinary clear ones too.

So everytime he braked I got dazzled. (So I backed off.)

No mate, they don't know the difference, they aren't aware of their legal obligation in regard to driving with foglights on either. I'd bet that people don't even realise that they have a rear foglight and advance the switch all the way around to turn on the "front driving lights". Which are actually foglights themselves.

Most people on KB are completely convinced that it's OK to use foglights as driving lights btw, despite them being a uni-directional source of light and not a directed beam.

The rear fog light is one of the dumb "features" on my Avensis.

It's a single light on one side, and it means I've only got one reversing light (on the other side).

Times I was not hit from behind because of it? = 0

Times I wished I had TWO reversing lights? > 50

Newlands gets the fog pretty thick at times, remember couple times almost hitting a couple dumbfuk neighbours who insisted on driving their white vehicles without lights on in those conditions. Bit hard to miss a 4WD with proper fog lights on in the fog.

All good but your complaint states hard to see with rain on your visor in my cage holden SS-VE you dont get a choice you put the wipers on even on intermitant for more the 30 seconds the light switch on for saftey to make car more visable. Most people drive with there lights on once the rain starts which means there tail lights are on.
yah cant have head lights on with out tail lights as well.
For that matter a lot of bike are just as bad to see as the tail light is so dam small you cant tell what the hell is going on at all.

Yer, I'm not talking about head lights and tail lights. I'm talking about FOG lights. If your fog lights are coming on when you turn your wipers, something is wired wrong in your car: as pointed out earlier on in the tread regarding what the law states. What happens when you turn on the stereo.......dose the boot open?
