Abuse of fellow members

I have let members have pretty much a free hand on what they can say and do on this site, but recently I have been receiving too many complaints from members receiving abusive PMs/Posts and Rep. So here is the first rule of Kiwi Biker that WILL be enforced.

Abuse of members will not be tolerated. After a justified complaint is received and investigated, the abuser will be sent to the Sin Bin.

Once in the Sin Bin, you will not be allowed to use Private Message or the Reputation System. Also everything you post in the forums will first be sent to the moderation queue for Moderator approval before it will display in its thread.

You could try a create a new login, but it wouldn't be long before your true colours show again. If you're caught creating a new login, your accounts will be merged and your time in the Sin Bin will be extended.

So or play somewhere else!

Great idea! Its a shame that we can't all be reasonable people and that it has come down to this, but I'm all for it.

Pity it had to come to this, but if we stop it now it will keep this site a stronger place. As BJ said, sort it out like an adult. Too often genuine threads turn into a shit-slinging competition between a certain few. Brings the whole place down for the other 3400+ members.

Well just for the record I have never used the PM system for abuse at anytime. The PM is for personal contact and I treat it in the same way as I would if I was face to face.

Mind you I don't believe that I have abused these forums or its members in any way. I can be a bit on the sarcastic side but this has been only to provoke a response to make a thread more lively. Having said that all I see on the screen is the forum name not the person so my response is to the name and not the person. One poster here as had some difficulty with this but at the end of the day all here see only Skyryder..........nothing else and the same is at my end. Those who have not met me have no idea who I am, what I look or if indeed, male, female or alien.

Ideas are just words in a cohernt form. So too are insults. The choice of whether we agree or not agree to a point of view is a decision that we all make. The same can be said with an insult. We agree with the insult and get ourselves all shitty or we can disagree with it and take it for what it is. Words that are not true. So why do people get themselves bothered by something that is untrue.

I enjoy it here. Met some good people. Some even say my arch nemisis is alright. Might find out one day.

Until that day comes I for one will continue in my usual manner and if I am treated with the comtempt that my arch nemisis was no need to sin bin me guys, I will l play somewhere else.

Between democracy and totalitarian state?

Disclaimer: below is just my 2c.
Instead of total censure, wouldn't it be better to have Forum Ignore (which is there already) and PM Ignore (which I belive is not there yet)?
As for the Rep system, I do not have an answer, but I do not belive in Rep system anyway.

However, I do believe Totalitarian regime to be better than Euphoria. So, SpankMe, Good On You Mate.
