Unhappy Lifan scooter/bike frames welds cracking

    URGENT
Have you owned a Lifan scooter or bike where the welds have cracked. My scooter purchased from 50/50 in Panmure has cracked at all three spot welds holding the handlebars on. Without others coming forward the government department responsible for these things can only ask the retailer to do a voluntary recall. The cracks on mine were serious and they can't believe them but think it might be one that slipped thru the system of QA in China. PLEASE email me cherryblossom40@yahoo.com.au if this has happened to you. If it hasn't, immediately take off the headlight shroud and check the welds (the handlebar tube can also crack at the weld as mine did). If 50/50 do a voluntary recall (as if) then that's the last thing anyone will hear about it. I went up a 2cm bump - and was lucky it didn't happen in rush hour traffic or I would've been dead. Please email me asap.

Give us a ring about your problem.
We are agents for LIFAN and will see what we can do to sort your problem out.
We can't comment on the scooters sold by 50/50 but I have 2 LIFAN 50cc scooters here. Both of them have a heck of a lot more than a spot weld or 3 holding the handlebars on.
