I'll prob ride my bike over during the day or borrow my mates trailer round the corner.
Does anyone have a 10mm tap & 8.4mm drill as my footpeg mounts threads are munted after the last ride.

if you are going to fix this - can you document it or take photos.
one of the biggest hassles in working on those bolts is the crash bar mounts refuse to line up (once the crash bars have had a few hits) - it took me hours last time and I can see the day approaching when I'll have to upgrade these bolts (I've had custom footpeg mounts made to lower my footpegs 40mm and have a brace immediately below the footpeg mounting points)
No 4wd or trailer but I can strap a recycling bin to the back of the DR...
Hell, I'd buy one!
BTW, have you guys explored the right branch much? The track now goes past the old hut and has a loop cleared beyond that to another hut (livable).
5-6 river crossings, bush and optional uphill, all do-able two up on a KLR650.
There are some bits that are too much for 1 up
Got to get back in there now it's re-opened after the logging.
My brother took Warewolf and I through there for 60-70km of riding and some of that you would not want to be 2-up.
Hmmm... Sat forecast isn't the best but maybe...
does'nt matter, since the kids came along there is no more 2 up... I'm really gutted... yeah really.
On another note, anyone else done the Penzance to Okiwi Bay pylon track? This combined with some of the other side tracks (which head down to secluded bays), the Maungatap, and sharlands creek/main Rd, make a great day loop (figure 8).
* Extra caution on the penzance - Okiwi bay track in the wet. Sliding down a steep grass hill sideways in the new Lancruiser was the first time the wife she has seen me WHITE. Friend later rolled and totalled HIS landcruiser in same spot. (now THAT was funny)
How'd shed nite go?
Would've loved to gone last nite sigh...
Still bought a new pressure suit from Red Barons for $179 new so that was a treat.
Good, see the thread.
My ears are still ringing from the backfires.
Cheers,
Colin
