I only saw the lighting of the torch, but damn what a show eh, i'll give the chinese one thing, they do like to do things well, regardless of the cost.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

in terms of olympic opening ceremonies it was truly spectacular and thoroughly deserving of all praise.

Now for those out there that are "boycotting" the olympics because of the political situation in china, would you also boycott all the chinese goods you have in your life? ... no because you seperate politics from personal comfort / financial sense ... i dont agree with how China have treated the people of Tibet, how they forced Taiwan to walk into the ceremony under the banner of Chinese Taipei ... but in terms of watching sport, this Olympics is gonna be awesome!!!

    btw GO THE KIWIS!!!!!!

I always look at the label. "Made in China" = no thanks. Rather spend a bit more and buy quality rather than some sweatshop shit that will fall to pieces within days.

Awesome ceremony. Loved the Olympic rings rising up from the ground.

i was thinking things like the RAM in your computer, the graphics card, the mother board, the soundcard, the monitor, your TV, any brand new Fisher and Paykel goods ... the list is rather long, id be surprised if you were able to furnish your house completly without chinese manufactured goods of some kind ...

anyway im going to watch some sports to forget about politics

I am so over the Olympics on TV. They never show the sports that I am interested in.

I do not want to spend so much time at "poolside" either, bloody cheapskates!

Like was said above, I use the off button a lot. John.
