Bwahahah. Unfortunately this prick was the lead developer. I thought of a couple of more methods but I just blurted out "oh for fucks sake" cos I knew working with this guy was gonna be impossible. He obviously wanted to impress me with his own more efficient method and after 45 minutes of him picking holes in the code I had to handwrite I'd had enough (especially as for once it actually worked!).
Reed-Solomon codes...well I've learned something new today. Am pretty sure I'll never use it but what the hell.
Some days I really miss coding.

Some Microwave clocks will allow you to enter the whole time (hours:minutes) all at the same time eg 1,6,3,4 = 16:34

DB is the new Porridge. Cause most of the mods must be sucking his cock ..... Or his giving them some oral help? How else can you explain it?
Guys, has anyone got a Stroustrup C++ 3rd edition that I can borrow?

Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule
I once got a call from a recruiter in Melbourne. They had a "hot opportunity" which was a "perfect fit" for me.
So I rocked up and was told that the job was for an experienced LISP developer to head a team that was writing code for embedded telephony hardware.
What was it that qualified me for this exciting and challenging role? My CV contained the word telephony.
