Would love to see 50+ bikes !!!
just another thing I thought of .. some of us from the outter regions will have at least a 2-3+ hour ride to get there ... unless we travel fri after work, & it would make a more expensive weekend ....

Sounds a good plan,as chanceyy said maybe leave the ride till say lunchtime,if you decide to do the mountain loop from Hawera.

How bout Hawera to Dawson Falls via Skeet Rd(Te Roti end),back down to Strat-Opke Rd to Stratford, onto The Plateau, then to East Egmont via any back road to there, then home via the top loop Wiremu Rd etc, then down Manaia Rd to Manaia nice trip back to Hawera, should take say 3 hour max with stops for pics.If leave at 1.00pm home to get ready around 4.00pm.

was thinking of leaving hawera bout 1ish, wiremu road thru puki iti gardens, carrington rd, back of inglewood, lake rata piko, taraiki and home. But open to suggestions ! Adventure riders may want to do tongahoi valley to the lake.

When y'all get down to the fine detail I would be interested in a ride.

Check on Carrington Road's status as "Atmonauti" aka Dan the Canadian found it was closed a couple of weeks back. Bridges still out after the big rains a while back, and possibly more mayhem to come if the weather gurus have got it right for this weekend.

Plymouth Road, SH45 to Okato and Oxford/Saunders Road is a great alternative.

Whanga for lunch is a must do for any visitors to Taranaki but give the Whanga Pub publican (he's a biker too ) a heads up to expect extras for lunch.
