Bandit and Hornet are inline 4cyl 4 stroke. Don't be put off the older ZXR/CBR etc - their reliability etc are well known, individually it is how they've been maintained.
Personally, I think learners are better off with a v-twin - the torque makes them friendlier and in real terms they have plenty of power and speed. The pick of the v-twins (I'm talking 4 strokes here) is the Honda Spada. An up-spec'd VTR, they have more power and a 6 speed g/box. You can pick up a good one for $3ish
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
