I have just joined up with Kiwi Biker. Defintely a Learner Rider. Just bought my baby a Virago. Excuse my ignorance but what are these law changes everyone talks about, Is there a site I can have a peek at? Or is this the typical govt out to screw with our heads again?
Enjoy reading the comments keep it up.

Is 38 000kms ok for that age for the bandit?
Just another point to note (not sure if it's the same everywhere) but the workshop I get my bike serviced at charges slightly more for more cylinders on the bike...presumabley as there are more things to check etc.

Given what I've read on the Spada, it sounds perfect, having the easy to ride torquey nature of the v-twin, but still having comparable-ish top end power to some of the newer inline 4 bikes.

The spada might be older, but with less K's and if it's been well maintained it would probably be a much better buy (plus it's cheaper..the difference buys a lot of nice protective gear)

In '93 the Japs agreed to restrict the HP of their 250s so from then on, the bikes didn't have quite the same top speed. Perhaps.

In saying that personally I'd love a Spada, that would have been my first choice over my ZXR for my first bike if I could have found one at the time.

hXc had a Spada for 2 and half years. He did 25,000k on it, town and country, all over the North Is. We had to do the camchains, but it never gave any trouble. This particular bike was electronically timed at 172kph so if top speed is important (along with losing your licence) they have some go. And they are brilliant handing too.
If you want an in-line 4, have a look at the guy selling a very nice FZR on here. I think he wants too much, but it is really low ks (if genuine) and comparable to ZXR and CBRR in power/price
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

There's not many of these left in good condition.
Someone mentioned a Balius http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-170944263.htm Nice bikes
If you look at the Bandits, the ones with a red rocker cover are probably the VVT model

Balius goes very fast (180kph↑), has deep idle sound and sounds angry at 19000 revs
