    Masterton drags

Masterton Motorplex are hosting drag racing this weekend. (5th Feb)

Apparently there is a superbike class where you can enter your road bike. Anyone keen?

I'll probably give it a whirl if it's not too much to enter.

Havent really done any launches on the R1 yet, so would be a good place to practise.

I'm pretty keen to have a go as long as it's cheap enough. I heard you needed to turn up and enter on saturday even if you just intend running on sunday though.

I think you'll require an NZDRA licence. A sportsman licence should do and that'll be around $30.

I'd expect about $50 to $80 to enter depending on wether it's a two day event or not.

Actually, you would be better off practising before the event mate.

There is usually quite a few people watching so you don't really want to stuff it up on the day, or

Course you have, you've launched it into the gravel. That's a start Sparky.
    Sorry mate couldn't resist.

My bro in law said it cost him $90 for one day to take his car in. I think it comprised of an entry fee to the event, an entry fee to compete and the cost of getting a drag licence.

Feck that - where's some traffic lights.

Is it true that it's $20 just to watch? Don't know if it's worth it if it's only a couple of bikes and hundreds of cars.

That'll be right. I actually find competition drag cars farkin unbelievable to watch and would gladly front the $20.

Got the prices to enter from the organisers.

$15 to get in the gate,$15 for sportsman licence and *$50 to race your bike for the weekend

I'll not be going as I am working all weekend now.
