    10 futuristic materials

Check out the invisibility metamaterials. All of this stuff already exists, what a fascinating future we face.

    If I remember correctly,
Recently at a bike show there was a Hybusa that had its wheels made of the "visable" alloy.
Looked kind of scary, visable forks, brakes and tyres but no rim!!

Hah! Silver-dielectric layered metamaterials are exactly the subject of my research.

Don't let me dictate you what to think - but a fair bit of scepticism on the subject of invisibility coats would be advisable
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Ha, they've got common garden titanium fan blades pretending to be superalloys.

    Other stuff is pretty cool.

I'm fairly certain that the guy in the metamaterials picture is simple wearing a silver reflective coat (which reflects an image from a projector).

I think you'll find that the Hayabusa you are thinking of simply had a perspex disc in the centre of the rim, probably about an inch thick, and was then bolted on to the rim. It had a single sided swingarm so you could see right through to the other side.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
