Rotate the bulb so that one tab slots in correctly, the biggest tab can be bent back so that about half of it fits in another slot. The 3rd tab will need to be bent away from the lens and then the tip bent back over so it just grabs the outside of the holder.

Use the little circle in the centre of the lens to line up the bulb.

Yeah... So the stock bulbs are "Japanese market Halogen 60/35W", I'm guessing these could only be bought through a bike shop at a decent cost?

I'm wanting to get new bulbs in so are the H4 ones fine to be modified like this to fit properly? The UK spec vfr has H4 60/55W bulbs anyway I think so they must have a different housing.

Yeah I looked into the cost of those bulbs ages ago when I had my MC22 and, while I can't remember the price, I remember the shock upon hearing it

I haven't had any issues with the H4 bulbs moving out of place, after about 20,00km's of traipsing round the countryside and a couple of lowsides
