Street stock class?

The rules are very clear in on MNZ site, tho the Vic club has supplementary rules to include 250 four strokes and also have different tyre rules.
The Aprilia is legal, we've had them racing in SS before

NO SLICKS of any kind ( this INCLUDES wets!!!)
and i think after last weeks races AJ ( the MNZ steward) would have to be pretty anal to ban us from racing if it got too wet....

this decision was made over the phone by the big guy himself!!!!
yes the boss of MNZ just happened to be phoning a person in the same room as this discussion was taking place

AJ (MNZ rep) handed th phone to the person concerned (complainant).. he was instructed in no uncertain terms
"NO SLICKS OF ANY KIND
"NO TIRE WARMERS"

to the complainant credit, he was very good. no bitching, no waving of arms.. just... here is my case... when he got the answer he was ...happy.ish, but he did not carry on like a spoiled kid, he just got on with racing... in the rules, then the race was abandoned.. bugger

Vic club supplimentary regs list "soft compound DOT road tyres" as a choice of modification, no mention of slicks.


I take that to mean that at winter series the MNZ rules apply subject to modification by the Vic Club Supplementary regs.

So if it is a MNZ rule it is new and no bastard knows whats going on!

BULLSHIT!!! The Vic club entry form has it clearly stated DOT approved tyres only and its on the vic club website under racing and then streetstock and there was an extra riders breif for streetstock riders at the last round for it to be explained

I'm not too sure on that. I think you are supposed to leave them standard engine wise. Best best is to get a rg150. Cheap and common.
