And therin lies the lesson, learnt and all.

This little boi racer snot, and his arse biscuit parents, think he can do no wrong and its all Mr ANDERSONS fault....?

Singing kum-bai-yah while holding hands works well...... until the drunken passengers leap out and deal to you with the tyre iron, a knife, baseball bat and smash a stubbie bottle into your face, coz you looked at them funny.

    As above, for JRandom...

And when they are, how many threads have there been on KB whinging exactly about this????????

I lost count and can't be arsed finding some, but some of the quotes included "abuse of powers," "deemed guilty before proven," and other dribblings about claims of a "Police State" to name a few.

Damned if you do, damned if ya don't......

Wasn't long ago that "vigilante" was the way to go, after the shooting of the liquor shop dude in South Auckland recently.... how times change....

OK - he used the wrong method then. Should have done something very painful that doesn't leave marks

Standard Police smoke screen. Can't enforce the laws already in the statutes such as "Drunk and Disorderly"? Wait until the public moaning about drunken louts gets too loud to ignore and then complain to the pollies that you need new laws such a 24/7 area wide liquor bans to fix the problem.

Keeps the public of your back for a few years while they get around to changing the laws

not to bag the cops but

we had a car full of pissed kids try to bowl a tree ouside our house at 130 this morning, (tree 1 corolla 0)
two ambos on scene in less than 5 min, cops took a lot longer to show up, about 20 min. by this time more hoons and lookieloos have shown up, throw in some scared teenagers and some drunken bravado, the fists and bottles start flying. if the cops had been right on top of the ambos it would have been a lot easier for all to do their job......

Its pretty clear that the cops purposely took the longest route they could to get to that job just to make the job of ambos harder not to mention their own when they arrived, its not like on a busy Saturday night they could have been tied up with anything else. The Police association has been crying out for more frontline cops for the past decade or so, maybe the public needs to vote in a party that promises to increase frontline numbers?

purposely took longer to make the ambos life harder? "insert tui ad here......"

I think vigilante justice has its place, especially when legal channels fail and I’d sometimes applaud it!
However, how can we applaud Mr Anderson when he’s guilty (and then some) of the same actions as his targets? I mean, how do you force a car off the road without driving “Dangerously” or “Recklessly”? He admitted to driving while suspended for speeding (hardly squeaky clean) and then assaults someone. I presume his wife was in the car, therefore putting her in danger as well.
To top it off, he uses kids as an excuse for his behaviour when they weren’t actually there at the time!
Not the stuff legends or movies are made from “Mr Anderson”!

I very much doubt that anything said by this vigilante chap constitutes an objectively accurate and well-balanced picture of the situation.

Certainly not after having been filtered through the Harold's impeccable journalistic standards.

    I shall reserve judgment.
Would you have left it to the Police???

    Not necessarily.

You can rest assured, though, that whatever I'd have done to deal with the situation wouldn't have resulted in me turning up in court immediately thereafter on assault and driving while disqualified charges.

I'm not a pacifist, and I don't expect authority to handle everything for me.

I do think that Mr Anderson is a complete dumbfuck. I've run into his type plenty of times, and they piss me off. Cutting off their noses to spite their faces because they're not capable of thinking a situation through.

your reply is..."You can rest assured, though, that whatever I'd have done to deal with the situation wouldn't have resulted in me turning up in court immediately thereafter on assault and driving while disqualified charges.

so this reply answers nothing......What would you have done had you been there in Andersons position???.....that's what I want to know!

You still havent answered my question.

If you cant put your Balls where your mouth is and continue this discussion in an open forum....................Shut the fuck up and dont waste our time in a discussion.

I know most of the boy racers in Tat Peninsular and if I knew your Street I'd have them visit to see what your'd do.
Most of them are mouthy shitheads and would try to knock you on your arse....I don't condone their behaviour...............But you just can't rely on the cops even turning up.........So what if that kid got a biff........trouble is from his tree huggin mummy and daddy and I know at least one high profile business family in Peninsular with that attitude to their son as well.
