Hi all, arranged to remove a bike last week as it was permanently parked, which is not fair on other uses. Park is only for casual parking not as a personal garage. I note the abuser removed the bike just before the tow truck arrived - any other abusers of our facility will also be removed and next time billed for any cost even if they remove the bike before the truck arrives. Lets keep it fair, safe and open.

Hi just wondering what your thoughts are on moving scooters, not bikes, when they are taking up more room than they should? Like moving them over a bit so you can easily get another bike in?
I assume it's safer than moving a bike over as they're a lot lighter and easier to handle.

Scooter or motorcycle: if it ain't yours, don't touch.

Best not to attempt to move other people's bikes - even a scooter might have a steering lock which could get damaged of jammed.

And its not always the case a "badly parked" scooter "taking up more space than it should" was badly parked - it may have been placed well but other bikes have come and gone making it seem that way.

From what I've seen... Far from it. (much like the attempts of praking a scroter accurately in a space allocated for two-wheel vehicles). It is challenging to tell if a scroter has been praked or "abandoned" at times.

Closure of the WL parking on St Paul St

    Hi all,
The Wilson parking is set to be demolished at the end of the year, leading - obviously - to the closure of the motorbike park.
At the moment I am trying to enquire as to whether there may be a plan to replace the facility with something of equal size but this seems very unlikely.
Will update with news when I have it.

Shit, there goes the neighbourhood! Out of interest is there still a few spots in WY. I know b2 has been repurposed but wondered about b1.

Hi there, all staff should contact the AUT motorbike coord. (see the facebook page/ motorbike@aut.ac.nz) to enquire about WY. WY parking requires card access.
