Was looking at the CBR600 f4 too but in the end the VTR is much more comfortable and with the aftermarket pipes the sound is ....ummm WOW!

hey what did the test involve? I was trying to U-turns on narrow roads or even a normal sized road and it seems rather hard on the gt250r.. just doesn't seem to hve a good turning circle. Not sure whether a u-turn is part of full licence test however... I am looking at doing my test in december... can't wait to move onto another bike!!
No U-turns as such. At one point I had to trun around but not as a "u-turn" test it was more of a "turn left off the motorway and stop on the side of the road" then the next instruction was "right now we're going to hop back on the motorway and head back" which then requied me to turn the bike around.
You right it's tricky on the GT250/r becuase it's a heavy 250 and the slower to you, the wider you'll run. Try speeding up the U-turn a bit, that way you can get some lean-agnle and it'll tighten up your U-turn A LOT! if you think your about to fall over becuase you're leaning and going 2 too slow, blip the gas.

Requirements to sit the full license, straight out of the road code:
Pt 1. Test of Basic Riding
*You can ride without breaking the road rules
*You have the ability to ride a) Straight, b) Through intersections, c) turn left at 90degree intersections, and c) turn right at 90degree intersections.
*You will be asked to ride a) on laned and unlaned roads, b) in speed zones from 0 to 60km/hr, c) in all types of traffic, and d) through controlled and uncontrolled intersections.
Part 2. Detecting and Responding to Riding Hazards in Built-up Areas
*Make a U-turn
*turn left at an intersection with a Give Way or Stop Sign
*turn right at an intersection with a Give Way or Stop sign
*turn right at an uncontrolled intersection
During this section, you will need to remember hazards you see and will be marked by the testing officer on these. You will need to be able to explain what the hazards were and where those hazards are in relation to you. A hazard is anything that is moving or has the potential to move that could pose a clear and direct threat to you in carrying out your riding task.
Part 3. Riding in Higher-Speed Areas
This part of the test will be performed on highways or motorways, where the speed limit is between 70-100km/hr.
*Riding Straight
*Riding around curves
*Merging with the traffic flow
To pass, you need to score 80 percent or more on Part 1 of the test, and 80 percent or more across Parts 2 & 3 of the test.
