I know a guy who has done everything, fancy pistons, skimmed head, blah blah blah, hes spent mega bucks on his nc30 and its 75hp. I have another mate who has done the exhaust, jets, and all that and he was only getting 66hp... 70hp sounds like A LOT. Got the dyno chart?

paid too bloody much but it should be worth it if no problems arise. only 24000 on the clock, everything works and everything is straight so just had to adjust the clutch cable and she's all sweet

yeah i can tell it's missing a few ponies compared to my old nc30, but it definitely corners better... feels more "flickable" and lighter to throw around. quite a few people tried to tell me it wouldn't be noticable but having ridden one i can say it IS a noticable improvement in handling and slight loss of power (it doesn't seems to "pull" as much)

thinking of/planning to develop a bolt-on motorcycle fuel injection kit for my 4th year mechatronics (engineering) project, so that should recover a reasonable bit of power while broadening the band and improving economy too. add some electronically actuated valves and i'll be pulling max power throughout the rev range without ever removing the heads

and now i've got some tyre choice for the 17" rear

another plus/minus is the tank; it fits my legs whereas the nc30 tank needed a bit more room for my knees to tuck in, but at the same time it's a bit square at the crotch end while the nc30 was just the perfect shape for my legs to wrap around.

point taken.. I'll ask the shop for it..and was merely spouting the mech after they had done the dyno to trace "drainage into sump"..rings gone and it is a NC30 engine

Apart from the fact it drinks..spits oil like a yanky 4x4 she has heaps of power and pull with 140 needles and a very loud exhaust (totally worried about WOF on the dcb levels) I have the CDI which will free up about 500-700rpm and the loom to run this was sent today

Well done on the purchase MotoB. you will find RVFengine is lower on the HP thru midrange and the mounting points on the frame are further forward to help make changing riding line easier..but..softer.

This bike..although a while since i had my last nc30..just has much more "angry pull" ..I don't think this will make any sense 2 ya'll..but it does in my mind..& that is where I'm the fastest
