Directions in type as Cowboyz has gotten himself lost in Rangitikei Street:
- The easy bit: Palmy-Colyton-Cheltenham-Vinegar Hill-Hunterville
- Hunterville-Fordell via backroads (dunno what they’re called but actually know the way)
- Fordell-Wanganui-National Park
- National Park-Turangi (47)
- Turangi-Taupo
- Taupo-Whakamaru (Poihipi road then 32)
- Whakamaru-Te Kuiti (30)
- South on 3 from Te Kuiti, turn left at Totora Rd to Aria and then on Ohura Road
- Left off Ohura road onto Mokauiti road
- Through Mokauiti and onto Ramaroa Road to Highway 4
- Right onto 4 and then right again onto Ohura Road again all the way to Ohura
- Leave Ohura via Mangaparo Road and then right onto 43 to Tamarunnui
- 41 to Turangi and then 1 to Mangaweka
- Rangiwahia-Cheltenham-Colyton-Ashhurst-Woodville (via saddle)
- Woodville-Balance-track and home.
Been through all the Ohura stuff before on a GC or 2 so know the roads are ok. We will need to look out for some of the turn-offs though. Also, they are all typical back-roads: narrow, windy, stock etc.
