Ah bugger, can't trust Google Maps eh? May as well sort out another 560km to finish things off properly...

Good luck, knees are lovely things until they break or dislocate.Mate had an off in '86 at 70-80km,no cartilage around knee now,was only 22 at time, quack wanted to replace knee but the guy was too young as they needed replacing approx every 15yrs or so.

Brian (mate with the Connie) came through Tamarunui & the Paras yesterday (in a car) and said that the Paras in particular had taken a bit of a hammering in the recent weather. I'm picking that the back roads around Aria, Ohura etc could all have had the same sort of treatment. Possibly even around Rangi as well (might have to do a recce on the Honda...).

This isn't gonna change the route or anything - just a warning to all that we're gonna have to be aware of this sort of thing. Adds to the fun and all that.

Don't wash ya bike before the ride...

This only looks like a one-stop ride?....and since when has a ride like this taken you 13 hours??? (I've tried to keep up you before and I don't think you know what a 13 hour pace is)

Still not sure. I'm under the thumb!!

Had an interesting wee pootle yesterday through some interesting Taranaki back roads though. (That's because I managed to carry the big-thumb on the back).
