    Leather Jacket advice needed

I want to buy a good leather jacket that I like the looks of, feels good and offers good protection.

I like the look of this:

The description sounds good and the price is within reason, but it's hard to know exactly how good the jacket/brand is.

I tried on a Dianese Jack Black and I liked the look and the feel but not so happy with the price. I really shouldn't try on stuff that is way over my budget, now I am tempted to spend way to much to buy one of these Honestly this jacket felt so nice on me - the leather was soft and you don't even feel the armour while wearing it. I didn't want to take it off, but the tag said $1350, I could probably get it for around $1100 - but that is still a lot of money for a jacket.

I want a jacket that is close to plain black leather - I don't want to look like a power ranger and I think I would look silly in a serious race jacket while riding a scooter.

So what should I buy and where should I buy it from?

    BTW
I have looked at Quasimoto but they don't have the look I am wanting in their jackets.

    Have a look at

Someone I know has one of these, it is a work of art. The exchange rate is making them a bit pricey, but next to the price you mentioned it still looks okay.

Or I could go into Motomail and look at jackets, try on the size 58 Dianese (only $1150), as much as I like it also look at the Rev-it jackets that cost $500 or $700. Then when I think I would be better off just spending $500 get told that the Dianese is on special for $800 and I just have to buy it at that price!

I think I have now spent close to $2K on gear, but I have pretty much everything I need.

    BTW
I am currently still wearing the jacket - I could fall off my computer chair and hurt myself, better safe than sorry! I'll take it off when I have to go to bed tonight . . . probably.

Look into getting some custom made? There's a few people around, and they tend to be well-priced.
