    28/29 in 4:13 for me

Missed the one with History being the odd one out of all the subjects. History, science, geography, english etc ... why bloody history??!!

I've recently done the real tests. It's damn harder in a room with all the questions laid out in front of you and you have 8 mins to do 35 verbal and 10 mins to do 50 of each numerical and abstract. The actual ones are a bit more involved than the website teasers. It seems easier on line rather than colouring in corresponding boxes on a sheet of paper sorta like a lotto coupon.

Then there's a 200 question personality profile, followed by a 10 minute 2.5 k run, 34 press ups, grip test and vertical jump.

Honestly you feel mentally and physically rooted at the end of the day.

    Reading the assessment:

No, decrease is the opposite of increase. The correct opposite of enlarge is shrink, but that wasn't an option. Enlarge refers to size, whereas decrease refers only to numbers.

Oh, and I got wrong a couple of daft 'odd one out' questions that involved animals.

Also, there seemed to be a number of questions missing from that test:

Whilst on traffic duty, you see a number of offences being committed. Given that you can only stop one offender, do you:

    1. Concentrate on the offence that poses the most risk to the population, in keeping with the Police's vision of 'safer communities together'.
    2. Concentrate on the offence that's the easiest to prove, given that no proof is actually required in many cases, just your word.
    3. Concentrate on the offence that generates the most revenue for the consolidated fund and brownie points for yourself.

Two babies have been murdered. The public are furious. Do you:

    1. Arrest all those who had contact with the children in the twenty-four hours prior to their injuries being sustained.
    2. Execute a search warrant on the babies' home to uncover vital evidence that could lead to a conviction.
    3. Do absolutely fuck all for three days because the offenders are Maori and it'd be culturally-insensitive to interrupt their grieving process.

An woman living alone has returned to home to find her house burgled. Do you:

    1. Rush around to assist the woman and dust for fingerprints.
    2. Turn up a few days later on the off-chance that some evidence might remain.
    3. Sorry ... say that again ... was thinking about donuts.

You don't have to say anything ... just walk around town in your Otago jersey and soak up the canterbury pain. Love it! Honestly, they look at you as if you had just farted loudly in church.

its much better doing it in auckland the JAFFAS dont know how to take it!!!
(although its been awhile since we did beat them)
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.

Could not even understand those number questions. Flob knows what they are on about... 60 is 80 and 30 is what? WHAT? what happened to 3847 X 48 etc? at least I can use a calculator for that.

Jesus-titty-fucking-christ then the next bubble appeared and was just full of dot to click... the bloody question did not even show let alone the answers... thought maybe it could have been some odd mind trick thing and just randomly selected a dot and clicked next... must of been wrong because the next bubble did not even display the dots to click!

Remember applying for the NZ Army before, took all the tests etc in a room full of others. Failed when I stood up and walked out for a smoko half way through then wondered why they did not let me back in. (true story).

Think i'll stick to what i'm good at and hide my 'crazy' working with Mental Health Patients. I look SO good while i'm at work!

Fear is never a reason to quit. It's only an excuse.
