So, the water pump or my special someones car gave up the ghost (I know that is a car not a GN250 and not at all a master cylinder but this bit is important to the plot).
So she happily started commuting on her scooter.
Well that should be all right there right?
Wrong her brand new Hyosung 100cc then spat the dummy.
I lent her my scooter and bravely began commuting on her 2005 GN250 because it will be at least a week before her bike is fixed.
Problem solved right?
Wrong.
It was making funny smells and noises on the way to work.
Service it says I, agreed says she, appropriate parts were ordered.
Then I found the front tyre was knackered.
Tyre sourced and fitted ability to pick a line in the wet restored.
Oil change done, rattle gone and funny smell gone, cue the cheers.
Replacement bars fitted (bent from previous owner and the part was already present) the new bars with their different shape look awesome and offer better leverage, cue the back slapping.
Brake fluid purged and refilled (really badly contaminated) this produces more choices than just on and off, cue the rapture.
New brake pads fitted.
Should be all gravy right, great joy at the end of a 5-6 hour oddessy of vehicular rejuvenation right?
Wrong, during the fitting of the new brake pads the already slightly crazed sight glass on the master cylinder detonated. Faarking glad no one was riding it when that occurred!
Oh dear, now we get to the heart of the problem.
I need the GN to get to work on Monday as I cannot afford to commute by 'Busa.
Does anyone have a spare GN250 master cylinder lying around that could be had for love or money?
