Did the Earth move for you?

    Did anyone feel that??
11.30 ish a huge quake rocked the Bay.
    It woke me up.
Lots of rattling, shaking, set off burglar alarms and all the dogs in creation! Bits of plaster fell down from the ceiling but no other damage, for us at least.
Was surely the biggest one I have felt.
Can't find any info on it....

    Smile Yep. 11.27 exactley

House started dancing, but strangely nothing broken!

Went to the beach waiting for the tidalwave, but returned dissappointed.

    Here:

A strong earthquake has jolted the Hawke's Bay region.

The quake, which happened about 11.30pm, was 5.5 Richter magnitude, 37km deep and centred 50km from Napier, Newstalk ZB reported.

A Hastings police spokeswoman said the quake was one strong jolt which set off fire alarms in the town.

There are no reports of injuries or damage.

No need to worry unless the hypocenter is less than around 20km deep.

That one didn't sound like fun at all. How does MSTRS think it compared to the 1931 one?

Time for another 'word', is it? I've told her before that women shouldn't use power tools all by themselves...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
