    That would be designing rooms etc. Microphones and stuff comes under the other engineering specialties.

    Well he's not talking about that, he's talking about audio engineering.

    Which, IMHO, is a bloody silly thing to have in a BMus Comp. degree. The Queensland Conservatorium does the same thing, a big pain in the arse when you could be learning much more relevant things.

    yeah we know that... just saying that "audio engineering" isn't engineering - it's just a wanky term for sound editing
