i need to raise a LOT of money to help get Luke to his try-out for the Red Bull adcademy...

so.. if you are approached by Luke or me... with a raffle ticket.
    BUY 10!..

or better still.. if you know anyone HIGH up in Air NZ.. that has the right contacts to sponsor 3 tickets to Lisbon AND back..

(or if you know HOW to approach a sponsor SUCCESSFULLY

Approach the bike shop you prefer (or all of them) and get them to sponsor prizes ... they should be willing to help at least a little.

You will get lots of support from KB for Luke. There are fantastic people on here who don't mind helping out a young un. Well, they helped Zac, anyway...prolly glad to get rid of him tho....

I'll donate to Luke personally, I really liked Lukes atittude when I met him last year at VMCC prizegiving, hes got a fantastic future and I would be proud to help out and support our young kiwi talent, pm your bank account details and its done, would Luke mind...a small unobtrusive badd logo on that race fairing? (cheesey grin) not important, as said, would be proud to help out!!

Happy to help with anything else as discussed in pm, or if you need anything - Im only a button away

This is probably a really silly question, but does Luke have a race CV outlining his experience to date and the Red Bull Academy selection??

If not, how about constructing one (text and photo's ) and trotting it around (there is a plethora of people on this site to give it mileage!) different businesses to find the appropriate sponsorship in return for some room on those lovely fairings? Or alternatively to donate some prizes fopr a raffle or two?

I would be happy to help any way I can (either writing or photographs) - $8k will seem like an insurmountable hurdle right now but once you get traction you will be surprised how a couple of hundered here and there will help.

If he does have one - how about sharing it around KB and letting the rest of us help by giving it some mileage around the country?? You could ask one of the senior modds to 'sticky' it on the front page for a bit to give it visibility.

Also, at the Winter Series there are a lot of people wandering around the tracks - why not put up an eye catching board up outside (or just inside if it is raining!!) with large photo's (I have some that you can use for this) advertsing for donations or selling raffle tickets to something?

I am sure that a number of people on here can donate a prize or two... I can start the ball rolling with maybe a couple of bottles of wine for non bike related stuff - or maybe some of my spare original bike gear that has since been replaced with carbon fibre - or indeed an item or two of Ducati paraphernalia??

    Good luck
