lets hope they dont go the wrong way and fall off the edge of the world.
I'd like to think you're right...........hoping you're right because so far I have no idea what everyone up to here has their panties in a bunch over.
Let me start again. If I were to want to vacation in Australia and vicinity and maybe ride a little while I'm there where should I go and where should I not go?
Love to see you all in L.A. Nice welcome by the way......
Oh I get it......KIWI Biker. Sorry if you all took it personal. Has nothing to do with an atlas. I just never paid attention to your title. Now go back to your life.
Jim
This is KiwiBiker - "A site for all New Zealand motorcyclists"
And for the large part we are Kiwis - New Zealanders.
It is not Australia or Australian (although we do tolerate them somewhat)
There is a large body of water , the Tasman Sea, dividing us.
Refering to us as Australian is about as friendly as calling a Canadian a Merkin...
And generates the sort of reponse you have seen
Don't worry we haven't taken it personally.
Actually we are pretty used to it. We meet dumbarse tourists all the time , not all of whom are from the US of A
=mjc=
.
Mate they are trying to tell you KiwiBiker is a New Zealand website, we are in fact a few thousand kilometres from Australia.
Many of us have been to some of the cities in Australia, a few lucky buggers will have done dirt rides to Cape York and the like, but mainly we don't know much about dirt riding over there.
Come to New Zealand that would be different and we could help more.
Otherwise go to the Australian pages on ADV Rider here http://www.advrider.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=32
If you're not a member of ADV I suggest you sign up and those boys (the Ockers) could help you out.
Cheers
Merv
The best way for Americans to learn about geography is to start a war in the country, after a while they all know where it is. Except for Bush of course who seems to think Iran is on the border of Afganistanretard.
BTW if you do go to Aussie and decide to pop over for a look at NZ, don't forget to try the humble pie![]()
No mate - nothing personal - tis the NZ sense of humour. We tend to be a bit dry...that's what Tui is for (not Tooheys)
To put your opening question in a context you may understand...if you think you can see the continental States, Alaska, Hawaii and the Aleutians (by bike or...) in 2-3 weeks, then you're mad.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
