Backroads and make it different each way. Take in the Gladstone cliffhanger road on the way there or back. On the way back is probably better as you ride it the right way.

Just looking at the map it may end up being closer to 250 KM

Just bit of fun. I don't look at manufacters figures as they can be very misleading and open to rigging like their weights are...

Have a good ride the weathers awesome aye.
No problem - Will get to try one of these rides soon be interesting info for sure

Will be in the 'naki in my gas-guzzler this weekend. Shame 'cause at the 'mo it'd be quite easy to get good economy on the Connie.

Gee what a lot of apostrophe's in this post...

Would love to come, sounds like a good route, and I'm genuinely curious to see what mileage the new bike gets, but I'm on call this weekend so I'm not allowed to go quite that far afield. Have fun!

Well. I know who wont be showing. Same deal as last time I'll turn up 15mins before the ride and if anyone shows then all good.

Leave at 1 pm Sharp BP Fitz her bit. Weathers still looking good so I'm riding even if no one shows.

I may see you there Gary, but it depends on how I'm feeling. Just getting over the flu and I have a big night out Saturday.

I am about to put my gear on and set off to Carterton, as I want to get there before 9am so that I can enter the sprints. So may catch up with some of you latter.

Awesome Martin. The Busa should do really well.

    Yes it went OK.
I did 3 standing quater mile runs, 11.2 then 10.9 then 9.92. The first two had loads of wheel spin through the first 3 gears, for last one I let the tyre down to 20psi and did a short burn out before the run, it still had some wheel spin so it should go a bit quiker yet. On the flying quarter it only did 270km ( speedo said 300km ) due to being 1 tooth down on the front with the gearing. Probably will go back to the next meeting with standard gearing back on, and the Suzuki top gear timing retard disabled.

It was a good day out, and a good ride back with the some of the Manawatu Riders.

Yep good run going under 10 sec. Should have changed the gearing for the flying.

We rode pretty conservatively to the sprints and gassed up at Masterton on the way home at 148.4 KM on Al's speedo.

That was a really good ride Gary. Amazing to see how new technology enables bikes twice the capacity plus to consume the same amount of fuel. Very interesting. Good fun at the sprints, I will try and get the Gixxer over for the next one, it should be capable of some good times.

Argh but you are running 98 so your figures may be distorted. Maybe the figures should read $ /100KM. I should do 98 next time.

I reacon the biggest upset there was Bonez. I was expecting to see much better figures. Could be he has a worn needle in his carb!

As for the Sprints if you look at the thread theres a bit of fall out going on over the number of entries. You may well find the next ones got an entry cap which would mean getting an entry in or risk missing out.
