VMax won't change down

Since it was a nice day i decided to go for a cruise to the Ferry , on the way with 2 other bikers fast approaching from behind on a corner out from know where appears a quad go to change down nothing then a clicking . Being the Vmax as it is i nurse it round the corner let the bikers pass and try again and eventually im back in business . It seems that every now and then this happens but only when changing down , if i go easy on clutch there is no worry , do i adjust this or maybe its something else ?

Yea id say adjust your clutch cable and maybe check to see if all your linkages and stuff are tight for your gear changer..
