Maybe? But it's a lot nicer than the old one and now has EFI and (hopefully) the new gear box.

so ... has anyone ridden the 102 bhp version of the 1100 ? ... (and yes, I've been looking at the Aprilla as well, and wondering whether 120 hp is enough ?)

It would be nice if someone made a list of the power and torque ratings of the larger bikes .... plus weight .
hello bud.the 1100 and 1000 are great tourers and are a resonable sports bike that will sit on 160kms all day if you want to but lack that instance squirt unlike the aprilia.but haveing said that, ive been rideing with alot of gsxr 1000;s lattley and man they make my bike look so slow.but only on the straights mind you.at the end of the day it personal preferance but the guzzies go well and go for ever if they are serviced when required.hope this helped bud

Yes it does have the new gearbox. I've read a couple of RAVING reviews for the damn thing. I mean lovely lump of sculpted Italian metal.
