Fair enough, as long as them tyres are warm, lol...
I've been down the road a few times, I exercise a bit of caution nowadays...
On the track that's a different story...

People. It would seem obvious to me that we really do finally need a motard section!!!
This is because I feel the need to once again tell everyone how fast I once was racing lightly modified dirt bikes well before it was trendy!
Because I'm my biggest fan. I've got pictures to prove it. Do it.
Pete :-)
For all you F3 anti motard brigade...that pic was taken in '91'. No foot out then...none required. I've pics from as early as '87'...still no foot out!
For the motard guys and girls out there...if you want to be able to race the road racers, keep your feet on the pegs and go round the corners as fast as you can. I bet you it's STILL the fastest way.
Pete
But does it look as cool?
Thats the clincher
Take the pic of Reuben Xaus waving at the camera while chucking the Duke motard on its ear- he'd be last out of the corner, but hip deep in fans and gorgeous womenfolk!!
"Not one day that we are here on this earth has been promised to us, so make the most of every day as if it was your last, and every breath ,as if it were the same"
I was actually just watching a vid on youtube, kind of showed contrasting lines...

The thing is Paul...from my experience (yeah I've said this 100 times already), too many wannabe motard racers are so hung up on getting sideways and stylie, that they're forgetting to go fast!
I've seen so many posts here from people that think a typical motard bike has better acceleration off the corners than they do...but that's bollicks. An SV 650 or similar has much better drive than a 450 dirt bike.
So you've got to try and exploit your bikes strong points. For me...racing a dirt bike for years meant that I'd do a live or die braking move...try to maintain as much corner speed as poss and sweep through the corner to minimize the road bikes advantage of acceleration!
year put me in for a motard section,
I'm keen for a re'tard section...
3rd bike is a hmmm !!!
