Well they're doing their enquiries. The issue I have is I was shot from behind and there were three people in the car so i'd never be able to prove who it was unless someone admitted it. Which is unlikely. So at least it'll put the shits up them and deter them from doing it again (particularly if the car driver is getting harassed by the cops to provide information). The police have all my contact details, if anything i'd probably expect to hear via the post.

Using one in a public place (and especially firing at people, or even just pointing it at someone will make it worse) will get you done for the same thing as using a proper gun if you have a licence. (If it's a proper gun and you DON'T have a licence then that'll be another charge on top)

You might not be able to prove who actually pulled the trigger, but depending how keen the cops are to push it there should be incriminating fingerprint evidence on the gun itself and there are other charges that could be brought into play against all the occupants of the car.
I assume you have told them that you wish to press charges etc, rather than just making a complaint and leaving it at that? Like many government departments they may need a bit of a push in the right direction

That pisses me off, aswell as the reserved seats for maoris, whether there is any who want to do the course or not anyway. Entrance requirements are lower from what I remember too. Basically means they don't need to be as qualified to get paid for the same job.. much like female cops, I have no problem with women being cops, but they should have to meet the same physical requirements as men if they are supposed to be doing the same job. (I'm sure there will be a few unhappy responses to that.. but it's true)
