    KB new release

Was informed today by one of my students that the other KB, that is of course the Killer Beez, have a new single out on YouTube. Just couldn't wait to get home and check it out, so here it is for your viewing and listening pleasure.

Here is a critics review I found on their new single "Hang with us"

This latest offering from Colourway records really does get back to the roots of Polynesian life in South Auckland. The bikes, the big feeds and hanging with your mates. "Hang with us" lyrically moves on from earlier releases such as "put your colourz on" which in fact was misinterpreted by some as a song about spraypainting the bikes the prospects had delivered that morning, when it is well known what the paint is really used for.
"Hang with us" instead tries to deliver to the unicell members of society that there is life beyond Cousin and that UncleDaddy is in some way not related to Mumma. It should not of course be misconstrued as an literal invitation to join them in what most people think they should really do with those pretty yellow scarfs. "Hang with us" you know you want them to.

I am sure there are better reviews out there...

Fuck they're cool! I'm sure all the hand gestures are for the people who can't stand to listen to that shit, must have cost them heaps to make that vid eh, "Bro, steal a Harley and come round to my place, we'll drink some piss, eat some sausages and wave our hands about, oh and bring the kids too, cause that looks even cooler that we can get our kids to mimic our bullshit". The most expensive thing in that was how much they had to pay the dude at the beginning to pull a wheelie.

I bet 1/2 those bikes were the stolen ones recovered after the last raid.

The only thing Im happy about is that I didnt see "Made with funding by New Zealand on Air" at the end of it - now that would have pissed me off.

Kinda sad that they think they are so cool but all I see are a bunch of copycat try hards who were probably all just weened too early and not hugged enough.

Shits me that there are so many complete fuckwits in this world sucking up our precious oxygen.

    and now for the weather....

himmm usually its really easy for me to discredit all of this so im just going to try and be professional and just state it.
You have to give the guys some credit - lines seem to be thought out and written down.......and acheivement in its own right when you consider the act.
Beat seems to be with the focus of the song - but sadly sounds stolen (much like the rest of their credit) from either Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle or Dr Dre - The Chronic.......classics in their own time.......
Riding was the biggest supprise - seems to have some skills. But as i now claim - tricks are for girl guides and people in costume.......hang on a minute there..........
I find it ironic as the name Killa Beez not only was not original - but overused. One of the first examples i can think of was the Subaru Imprezza 22B rally car - nick named the "Killa B" upon its first release into Britten roads in the 90's. However i do recall numerous uses before then. Since then there have been "Killer Bees" nick named to the paper wasps that were killing bee hives in NZ. Killa B - nick name of one of the first missiles to hit Afganistan. Let us also not forget a said Wu-Tang album.......

and as for the yellow..........its a case of egg before chicken. Or in this case BikerBoyz DVD (thats right it didn't play in cinemas) before said Killa Beez
