    ZXR250c owner, re headlights

Can someone with a c model tell me if you:

    a. have a headlight on/off switch (as opposed to the high/low beam switch)
    b. have a park light option

mine is currently at the shop for some cosmetic repair (not my fault, a truck backed into it ) but from memory i have a hi/low switch on the left and a on/off/park switch on the right (but mine is always on so i never use that one)... once i get my bike back i will confirm it if nobody else has.

    Answered

I walked past a C at lunchtime. It doesn't have a headlight on/park/off at all.

It's common on a lot of bikes. You cannot turn the headlight off, only choose high beam or low beam.

    My vtr is such.

It depends on the market your bike was built for, rather than the model of bike.

Sure, but in this case ZXR250s are all imports from Japan, built for the Japanese domestic market.

Sorry, my answer was general rahter than ZXR250 specific. I am an importer and bring in a lot of ZXR250's. As an aside, even though I ride bikes like ZX10R's regularly, I still get a buzz when I ride a ZXR250!! They (and CBR250RR's) are amazing bikes.

Well I'm all confused now.... I'm sure my zxr250 does have it.... I guess I should ring the shop and tell them to hurry the %$@# up with my bike so I can check for myself.

    Why I asked:

I have grafted a C fairing set onto an A bike. The A has switching and wiring for park lights, but the C headlight doesn't have park light bulbs.

I was curious what kind of switch set up C models have. My bike is a VTNZ getting complied today. It'll be interesting to see if having a park light swtch, but no lights causes a problem.

I got a 91 Zxr250c. Has no on off switch, the headlights only come on when the bike is running. Only an option to switch between high and low.
