How nice are you guys. Thanks guys but all I did was return a bit of lost property. It's the fact that somewhere in New Plym a sweet li'll ol lady was praying for the return of a treasured, ireplacable link to her late daughter that makes it a wonderful ending. Good news is good eh.

And, on another high this week I'm gonna see the allblacks play Samoa, which prolly don't mean much to yous kiwis but I'm a pom watching the ABs in NZ, Far out.

Turning out to be a cracking week, anyone wanna explain rugby to me before I go, so I've at least got half a clue what's going on after the Haka.

Rugby at the park, just go to Tui tent and guzzle.Who cares if the Samaons aren't the top team available due to players in England not able to play, the atmosphere will be good.

Pretty sure the little old lady could be identified as our own.We have done the same phone we found had cracked screen so couldn't read any texts, just waited till it rang or was text, turned out it belonged to a guy up the street.

That's great - and often that is what happens when you lose something - it's not the monetary value, it's the sentimental value that guts you. This lady must be rapt that you found it rather than some scum who would have used all the credit on it before selling it or dumping it.

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

I think she was expecting her saviour to be a bit more angelic looking, a bit more like baby jebus, instead she was met by a gnarly old biker and a mad staffy dog, perhaps that's what she was crying about eh.

Never mind, end results a goodun, thanks for your kind thoughts dude.

While we are on nice stories....

About a year a go i went to a money machine to get some money out, only to find a card and $400 in cash waiting to be collected.....i looked around and waited for about ten minutes but no one showed. I took the money and the card and went to the local ASB to hand it in. The shock on there faces was priceless....like it had never been done before. They asked me for my address ect and i wondered off. I have to admit at the time it was hard as i was broke and the money would have come in handy.

Anyway a couple of days later i recived a letter from the bank with a $30 gift voucher in it, and expressing there thanx. Two days after that i recived another letter from the owner, with a $50 dollar gift voucher from Whitcoulls. The lady whos card it was a pensioner, and it was the first time she had ever used a money machine. i didnt feel right about taking the voucher as i did what i think any decent person would of. As there was no return address, i broght some kids books from whitcoulls and donated them to the local school.

I have never told this story before, but the point is the good that came out of it, far out weighed the benefit to me if I had kept the money.

And bloody good on you too mate, excellent story, nice to know there are decent folk like you out there eh. Well that's two pensioners that might think a little better of bikers when their looking for someone to ram their shopping trolleys into eh.

Coincidentally, they did a set up thing with cash machines on uk tv. some lady requests cash in a busy high street, then walks off without collecting, they then filmed the reaction of the next customer. I'm glad to say 97% of people in my home town ran after the woman and returned her money, the highest score in the UK. Some areas a mere 30% returned the money without prompting by the TV crew.

As a little topical interest every single elderly person that was duped, ran, hobbled, shouted after the woman to give her her money back, so I guess our stories are a little bit of karma returned for the old folk. cool!
    Oh bugger
