Hoping to pop along and show my face, unsure of duration of the stay. I guess depends on where the destination is :P

Hmm, I'll be skipping a week or few again. *sigh* Same running-too-rich/carbs-need-work issues as I had before.

Think I'll learn how to do carbs myself this time, sick of spending big $$s at shops just to have things back to not-working 3 or 4 months later. Might pop by (on my reliable bike - has pedals

) to say hi.

how often are cleaning your air filter , if it gets fixed then gets bad again, is the filter becomeing blocked and causeing this problem?
Just an idea off the top od my head

Air filter was replaced along with oil filter/oil/carb slides/etc last time I had the carbs done by the shop.

Haven't checked it recently, but that was only a few months ago - will have a quick look-see tonight.

I get the feeling there's other things wrong with the bike (fuel lines? fuel pump? jets? needles? somethingaratherelse?), and the shops have just been quickly going over the carbs and not really checking into everything. Need to get down and dirty myself - I don't mind spending the time so much to make sure it's done right -_-.

I'm no expert but if you've had the carbs tuned and fresh filter it may be worth checking your ignition system, could be a faulty coil / cdi etc causing a loss of spark and hence unburnt fuel / misfire. The early gsxr's had problems with this from memory...
